Welcome to my online resume, portfolio and playground. I work as a web content producer for the Dow Jones Local Media Group newspaper The Record in Stockton, Calif. I began at The Record in 2007 after graduating from California State University, Chico, with bachelors of arts degrees in journalism and psychology. I have experience as a copy editor, sports reporter, general assignment news reporter and in public relations for a minor league baseball team before taking my current job.

As a web content producer I work with reporters to develop in-depth packages online. I develop special sections on our website integrating web design, Flash and videos to tell a story. I have worked on projects covering a wide range of topics, including serial killers, immigration and hockey teams. The newspaper industry is going through many changes and as a web content producer I've used social media such as Twitter and Facebook to help promote our product. How news media utilize the Internet is quickly changing, and I've worked to keep our website relevant despite the challenges this industry has faced.
